The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is a short try-diving experience for adults and children aged 10 years and older. This introduces you to the basics of diving, but doesn’t certify you as a diver. The ‘DSD’ is usually a one-day or half-day activity, so it’s a great option if you’ve been thinking about trying SCUBA but don’t have much time while you’re on holiday. It’s also perfect for building up confidence in the water before jumping into a full course. PH Whale Watch Dive & Snorkel offers this PADI experience at Champagne Beach. You will start the day with some basic instructions and continue with some exercise in shallow water. Afterwards you are going on your first real dive to the famous bubbles and marine life from Champagne Reef. The instructor will permanently be on your side to take care of you. To sign up for a PADI DSD experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
